#Cleanser, #SheetMask

The products you use and the approach you take to caring for your skin can make a huge difference when it comes to your skin health now, and in the future. Taking the time to properly care for your skin will help you achieve clear and glowing skin in present day, as well as reduce the signs of aging in the future. Here’s how to approach your daily skincare routine, for super healthy skin that’s hydrated, clear and glowing…

Step 1: Cleansing

Start by splashing your face with warm water - avoid hot or cold water which can irritate and dry out the skin. Apply your cleanser of choice to wet skin, using a dime size amount. Work into the pores using your fingertips with a circular motion for 30 seconds. Use a natural cleanser which will also remove any traces of makeup too.

Use warm water to rinse your face, making sure you remove all traces of the cleanser which will also take dirt, oil and makeup with it. Pat the skin dry gently without rubbing.

Step 2: Toner

After you have thoroughly cleansed the skin, apply a toner to help improve your skin tone and create an even appearance. Sweep across the skin using a cotton ball and allow to soak in. Use an alcohol free toner that won’t dry out the skin. To make your own toner, try a mixture of half lemon juice and half water.

Step 3: Moisturise

The final step within your daily routine is to moisturize. Use a day cream in the morning and a night cream in the evening, and choose a product full of natural ingredients. Apply to the face and neck starting at the bottom and blending upwards.

* Steps should be performed morning and night

Weekly Steps…

Alongside cleansing, toning and moisturising twice daily, you should also include a couple of weekly skin boosting treatments.

1. Exfoliating

Exfoliating shouldn’t be done daily as it strips the skin leaving it vulnerable. Exfoliating once or twice a week however will remove dead skin cells to reveal healthy new skin. This can improve the skin’s texture, as well as unblocking the pores and reducing spots and blemishes.

Once or twice a week, exfoliate after cleansing and before toning. Apply exfoliator to damp skin and gently work in using a circular motion. Rinse well to finish.

    2.Treatment Mask

Once or twice a week, give your skin an extra boost with a sheet mask. Do this after cleansing and/or exfoliating, but before toning and moisturising. Apply the sheet mask to your face, ensuring there is contact all across between the skin and the mask. Arrange it so it fits closely around your eyes, nose and mouth. Leave on for 15-20 minutes.

Take off the mask and work the leftover serum into the skin using upwards circular motions. Finish with your favourite moisturiser to lock in the nourishing ingredients.
